Lumo is a mobile language app designed to help children with dyslexia improve reading and spelling through an immersive, multi-sensory experience. Using augmented reality (AR), children explore story worlds where they tap on 3D object images and say the corresponding word out loud to collect it as a card. These cards can be reviewed and repracticed, reinforcing word recognition and pronunciation. As more cards are collected, new story chapters are unlocked—motivating continued engagement and learning. Children can also speak with Lumo to build emotional connection and confidence in using language. Lumo blends gamification, augmented reality (AR) and voice input to transform language learning into a magical, self-paced journey—helping every child find joy in words.
