Since 2020, the curatorial team has been promoting the "urban green aesthetics project," with the North Coast as its primary location. The project integrates local characteristics, light and shadow installations, and landscape art to create a sustainable tourism initiative. Now in its fifth year, the edition featured two main venues, showcasing art installations, aesthetic arrangements, fire dance performances, and a BBQ event hosted by young farmers. Three groups of art installations by Xu Zhiming, Chen Yousheng, and Liu Yusheng were on display. Additionally, Chen Yousheng’s work “Sweet Potato” connected the park’s waterways and the old street, serving as a lasting testament to the region's unique character.
The event’s highlight was the introduction of two main venues, with Jhongjiao Bay International Surfing Base and Zhongshan Hot Spring Park serving as the primary performance and exhibition sites. Jhongjiao Bay International Surfing Base displayed art installations and hosted weekend fire dance performances and BBQ with young farmers, adding vibrancy to the summer season. Meanwhile, Zhongshan Hot Spring Park featured light art and atmospheric settings, offering the "midsummer starry cinema" on weekends, allowing visitors to enjoy cooling activities and a visual feast.
The dual venues provided diverse experiences, enabling visitors to simultaneously enjoy performances and films, catering to a variety of preferences. The event emphasized sustainability and continuity, inviting artists to create works inspired by local characteristics. These works were not removed after the event but remained permanently integrated into the environment. Notably, the collaboration with the firefighting gear brand "Super Armor" had repurposed discarded firefighting uniforms into costumes for the fire dance performances, highlighting environmental consciousness and demonstrating the event’s close connection to eco-friendly initiatives.
